Following every NFL game in 2025, Steel City Underground parses the best plays from the Pittsburgh Steelers to highlight for Steelers Nation fans to rewatch, complete with what led up to the big play(s).

Up 7-3 over the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park in Dublin, the Pittsburgh Steelers offense took over after a Nick Herbig sack on Carson Wentz forced a punt in the second quarter. Just twelve seconds later, the Steelers were back in the end zone on the most explosive play of the season so far.

On 1st & 10 at their own 20, Aaron Rodgers lined the Steelers offense up, took the snap, and hit D.K. Metcalf in stride over the middle. The quick pass slipped past defenders and beat the pressure. Metcalf did the rest.

Picking up speed despite his large frame, the veteran receiver secured the ball and raced Vikings defenders down the field. With Calvin Austin ahead of him just before the end zone, Metcalf took advantage and then lowered his shoulder into the lone Minnesota player in his way to blast into the end zone for the touchdown.

One of the best shots of the play came from an NFL Network camera from behind Aaron Rodgers.

Steelers fans have been waiting for a big connection between Rodgers and Metcalf. If there is more of this type of play to come, hang on Steelers Nation!
