Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was not shy in showing his interest in the offensive linemen during the Senior Bowl. And there's one lineman who could be a perfect fit for Pittsburgh.
Tomlin reportedly "took time" with North Dakota State's Cody Mauch, who allowed just one pressure while playing at guard, center and tackle in a dominant performance at the Senior Bowl.

Mauch started as a preferred walk-on TE at NDSU before gaining 85 pounds and marking the switch to tackle.
Now, he is looking at going within the first two days of the NFL Draft.

Mauch is currently ranked No. 42 on Pro Football Focus' big board, but his versatility could have his draft stock rising. PFF says that Mauch is "one of the most athletic tackles in the class" but that "a move inside could be in his future."
The Steelers have three picks in the top 50 of the 2023 NFL Draft and need to build up their offensive line. It's unlikely they would take Mauch at No. 17, but pick 32 or 49 could be viable spots if he's still there.
The 24-year-old has quite the story after walking on as a tight end at NDSU. He gained 85 pounds in order to switch to tackle and now he's projected to go within the first two days of the draft.
Mauch is quickly becoming a fan favorite. He's toothless and ruthless, and he could be the perfect day two pick for Pittsburgh.
