General manager Omar Khan has completely rebuilt the Steelers inside linebacker room this offseason and it continued Monday.
According to reports, Pittsburgh signed veteran LB Nick Kwiatkoski, who tried out for the team during last week's minicamp and released S Scott Nelson to make room for his roster spot.
Kwiatkoski is now the fourth inside linebacker added to the room this offseason as Mark Robinson, the Steelers' 2022 seventh-round pick, remains as the lone inside linebacker returning in 2023.

The 30-year-old played in 12 games for the Falcons in 2022 and has 293 tackles, seven sacks, eight forced fumbles and two interceptions in his career.
Kwiatkoski now joins his fourth team since entering the league as a fourth-round pick by the Bears in the 2016 NFL Draft.
He surely wants to prove he still has gas left in the tank heading into his eighth season and if he needs any more motivation, he now gets to play for his hometown team as he grew up in Pittsburgh and attended Bethel Park High School.
It's not guaranteed Kwiatkoski will make the Steelers' 53-man roster, but with the team's lack of depth at the position and his experience on special teams, it certainly feels likely.
