Despite having not played in the NFL in a decade at this point, former Steelers RB and Super Bowl champion Rashard Mendenhall has been in the news recently.
After returning to the public eye to call out his teammates for the Steelers' Super Bowl loss against the Packers, Mendenhall decided to take things to another level this go-round.
But it appears in his quest to stay relevant, he has made himself look incompetent:
I’m sick of average white guys commenting on football. Y’all not even good at football. Can we please replace the Pro Bowl with an All-Black vs. All-White bowl so these cats can stop trying to teach me who’s good at football. I’m better than ur goat.

There is an old saying in show business that all publicity is good publicity, but I'm not sure that applies in this situation.
Sure everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but attacking commentators' ability to call games not on merit, but on the color of their skin is at the least weird, but at the most concerning.
Hopefully, this was just the latest form of impression farming gone wrong, with Mendenhall going way too far with his latest hot take.
