Steelers Target Aaron Rodgers Could End Where He Began
Mike De Sisti / Milwaukee Journal Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers has still not announced whether or not he will be playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025.

But there is one other place where many fans would like to see him go.

In a recent interview, the legendary field general addressed the possibility of going to the Green Bay Packers to end his career. But Rodgers says he does not really get what he would prove there.

"You know, I’ve thought about that and I don’t understand what the reason for that is," Rodgers said. "I understand the cool thing about it but, if I didn’t do it, would that make a difference in how I’m viewed in the Packers' eyes?...If I do or if I don’t, I don’t think it should make a difference. I’m not sure yet. If they approach me about it, I probably would."

He brings up a good point, as there is nothing else he really has to prove with the Packers.

He was a 10-time Pro Bowler, won four NFL Most Valuable Player Awards, and was able to take the NFC North all the way to the Super Bowl and hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

It would be very cool to see Rodgers suit back up in the iconic green jerseys of the Packers. But if he does not see the purpose of going back to where it all began, there there really is no point in him reuniting with his old team.
