Leaving on good terms matters everywhere in life, but especially in the NFL.
You're always one call away from reunion, something CB James Pierre just found out on Tuesday.
A day after his 28th birthday nonetheless:
Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the #Steelers are reuniting with CB James Pierre.

Pierre signed with Pittsburgh as UDFA from FAU in 2020 before departing this offseason
While it's a great birthday gift for Pierre, the move is no coidndnce. During his weekly presser, HC Mike Tomlin announced that gunner and WR Ben Skorwonek suffered an injury against the Denver Broncos that could sideline him ahead of this week's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers:
"Ben [Skorwonek], he's got a shoulder, although we've been elevating Ben [from practice squad], he has been on the 53-man roster," said Coach Tomlin. "Think he had some shoulder discomfort at the end of the game. All of those guys, I don't have a lot of information about their status as I sit here today, that stuff's ongoing."
So for Pierre, it's a return to the team that took a shot on him and frankly liked his services after keeping him around for a whole four-year rookie deal before he signed with the Washington Commanders in the offseason.
With live reps in 66 games including six starts at CB, Pierre can and likely will be an instant contributor if called upon on Sunday.
