Steelers WR Diontae Johnson improving, status for Bengals game unclear

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday that starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a left pectoral injury in this past Sunday's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. 

Roethlisberger wasn't the only Pittsburgh offensive player banged up in that defeat. 

Per Brooke Pryor of ESPN, Tomlin also said that wide receiver Diontae Johnson hurt his knee on the final play of Sunday's loss. 

"He's looking better, but not to be confused with great," Tomlin said of Johnson's setback. "We'll follow him and his health as we get through the week." 

Johnson led all Pittsburgh players with nine catches for 105 yards against the Raiders. According to ESPN stats, he leads the Steelers with 14 receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown on the campaign. 

Roethlisberger was hit 10 times in Sunday's defeat and has dealt with soreness following each of the past two games. Pittsburgh fell to 1-1 on the season in Week 2, and Cincinnati shares that record coming off Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears.
