Stefon Diggs makes Houston Texans instant Super Bowl contenders
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans have been making some moves this offseason - some on the low and some very loud. They made the Danielle Hunter move after losing Jonathan Greenard, and now they have another big-name player on their team.

As the 2024 NFL Draft is just a few weeks away, the conversations started to focus on the Texans possibly taking a wide receiver to help compliment Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and, of course, to help quarterback C.J. Stroud.

With Stroud on his rookie deal, the Texans are taking advantage of every penny they can. On Wednesday, they made a trade that shocked the NFL world.

According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the Houston Texans are trading for Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs - a top-five receiver in the league, giving the Texans the best receiving corps in the league.

Ironically, the Texans are sending a 2025 second-round pick from the Minnesota Vikings and are receiving Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round pick, and a 2025 fifth-round pick.

While there are still some holes on the defense that will be fixed, the Texans now have a roster that can compete with anyone, but especially the Kansas City Chiefs. Getting Diggs makes the Texans Super Bowl contenders, something that has never been mouthed about the Texans.
