Stefon Diggs had his first fumble as a member of the New England Patriots on Wednesday, but fortunately he was able to quickly track down the goods.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his team’s foundation held a pet adoption day on Wednesday to coincide with the first official practice of training camp. The event was part of the Patriots’ new “Pawtriots” initiative, which is focused on finding homes for pets that need them.
Diggs and several other Patriots took part in the event by escorting dogs that were searching for new homes onto the practice field. The star wide receiver carried an adorable puppy onto the field and placed the dog down for a brief moment, only to have it take off on him.
Diggs immediately went into panic mode and had to chase the dog down.

Keep in mind that Diggs is less than nine months removed from a torn ACL. He is said to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, and his pursuit of that rambunctious puppy may have been proof of that. The 31-year-old looked plenty nimble while chasing down the dog.
Between the off-field drama that he was a part of and the hilarious puppy chasing video, Diggs has had an eventful first few months in New England.
