In Detroit's 24-14 victory against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown proved once again why he’s quarterback Jared Goff’s most reliable target, catching seven passes on seven targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in the rain at Lambeau Field.
His performance not only helped the Lions (7-1) secure the win but extended his scoring streak to six straight games, tying the franchise record set by wide receiver Herman Moore in 1994.
What’s even more impressive is that Goff hasn’t thrown an incompletion when targeting St. Brown since Week 3, a streak of 30 passes. That kind of connection is a game-changer, and it’s clear that the on-field connection between St. Brown and Goff is as strong as ever.
In Sunday’s game, St. Brown accounted for nearly 39 percent of Goff's completions (18), showcasing just how crucial he is to the offense.
St. Brown is tied with Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir for the longest catch streak (30) of any wide receiver since 2016.
To make what St. Brown is doing even more impressive, according to Next Gen Stats, the likelihood of St. Brown and Goff’s 30-completion streak — factoring in the difficulty of each throw — is just 0.0001 percent or approximately 1 in 780,000.
Amon-Ra St. Brown caught all 7 of his targets for 56 yards and a TD in Week 9, extending his catch streak to 30.

Though St. Brown’s season seems quieter compared to last, his reliability in less-than-stellar conditions proves he’s as valuable as ever in an offense looking to make a Super Bowl run.
Through Week 9, St. Brown has 48 receptions for 464 yards and six touchdown catches. By comparison, through Detroit's first eight games in 2023, St. Brown had 65 receptions for 821 yards and four touchdown catches.
