Sunday Six-Pack: NFL Week 2 betting guide

It's been another strong week of content, picks and previews for NFL Week 2 here at Yardbarker. The culmination of our hard work is here, in the Sunday Six-Pack, highlighting our favorite plays for Sunday's slate of games.

Last week, the Sunday Six-Pack went 4-2 with an AJ Dillon fall on the one-inch yard line keeping us from going 5-1.

Bet the stud: Saquon Barkley touchdown (+100 DraftKings)

The Giants need to figure things out after that horrendous 40-0 loss in Week 1, and they get just what the doctor ordered in a date with the Arizona Cardinals.

When in doubt, lean on your star. That's what I expect New York to do here with Saquon Barkley, and it sure helps that the Cardinals are a soft target for running back success. Arizona was one of the worst run defenses last season, and for good measure they allowed the third-most RB touchdowns in 2022.

They allowed Brian Robinson Jr. to score and hit his rushing yards over last week. Barkley is clearly the alpha in this running back room.

I expect 20+ touches for the back, and that usage should propel a touchdown on Sunday.

Ride the run: Atlanta Falcons moneyline (-125 DraftKings)

The hype is high in Green Bay following Jordan Love's strong start, but what if Chicago is just an atrocious defense? The Falcons forced three turnovers last week and might give the Packers a bit more of a challenge here in Atlanta.

My belief in a Falcons win is born from the run game. It's something Atlanta excels in and leans on heavily, and rookie Bijan Robinson should only continue getting more and more touches. The Packers have had their issues slowing down the run, and this is not the kind of team you want to face is that's a problem area for your defense.

Tack on that Green Bay has four key players questionable in RB Aaron Jones, WR Christian Watson, OT David Bahktiari and LB Quay Walker, and I'm in on Atlanta winning this one and moving to 2-0.

Sit back and enjoy: Chiefs-Jaguars over 51 points (-110 DraftKings)

I think the Chiefs probably win this game with Travis Kelce and Chris Jones back, but I also love me some Jags this year.

I love watching RedZone on Sundays, but I'm bringing up the second TV from the basement to make sure I get this game on standalone. It's going to be a treat between two of the AFC's best teams and best quarterbacks.

I smell a shootout, just give me all the points.

This line is too low: Zack Moss over 47.5 rushing yards (-113 FanDuel)

I'm extremely high on Zack Moss this weekend. I bet his touchdown straight. I put him at 75+ yards in a lotto parlay. So, it goes without saying that a measly 47.5 yards seems more than reasonable this week.

Moss is going to be the lead running back in Indy, likely seeing 12-15 carries minimum. Last four times he's seen that volume, he's flown over this line each time, averaging 83.5 yards.

His most recent game was against Houston, the team he's seeing this weekend. He put up 114 yards that game. Here's to 48.

Plenty to go around: Justin Herbert over 283.5 passing yards (-115 BetMGM)

I loooove Keenan Allen this weekend. I also like Mike Williams. One or both of these Chargers wide receivers are going to pop for a big game against a bad, bad, Titans secondary. If you'd like to take an alternative approach to betting WRs, why not just go for the man throwing them the football?

Derek Carr went for 305 against the Titans last week, and Tennessee is known for letting up big plays and plenty of yards per pass attempt. Last year, Herbert finished with 313 against this defense.

He's going to drop multiple 40+ yard bombs and hit this over with ease as Los Angeles looks for their first win.

Time for revenge: Mike Gesicki touchdown (+500 FanDuel)

If you want a "Sunday Night Football" bet in your pocket, look no further than Mike Gesicki. Let the record show: Hunter Henry is the more reliable Patriots TE in this game against Miami. He saw more targets and scored last week.

However, Gesicki still saw 33 snaps and three targets, and he gets to face a Dolphins team that allowed the fourth-most TE touchdowns last season and let up one in Week 1. Miami also surrenders plenty of tight end receptions, which should open up chances for Gesicki.

Trends aside, this is a fun one to wrap the day because we've got a revenge angle at play here. Gesicki is a former Dolphin, having played in Miami for the first five years of his career. Who doesn't love a revenge touchdown bet?

Enjoy Week 2 of the NFL, it feels so great to be back in the swing of things here.
