The NFL will announce this week that Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas has been chosen as the home of Super Bowl LVIII.
It'll be the first Super Bowl held in Nevada and the third straight on the West Coast with Super Bowl 56 set to be held in Inglewood, Calif. and Super Bowl 57 in Glendale, Ariz.
New Orleans was originally picked in 2018 to host Super Bowl LVIII, but the change to a 17-game regular season created a scheduling conflict. Instead of happening on Feb. 4, 2024, the game will now happen on Feb. 11, 2024, which conflicts with Mardi Gras. Now New Orleans will host Super Bowl 59 one year later.
Allegiant Stadium opened in 2020 and is the home of the Raiders, who relocated from Oakland a year ago.
The stadium is also set to host the upcoming Pro Bowl and Las Vegas will host the 2022 NFL Draft.
