The 2025 season was something of a mixed bag for Nakobe Dean. Following a breakout 2024, the linebacker struggled to replicate his magic in 2025. Limited to just 10 games due to injury (eight starts), Dean finished the season with four sacks, 55 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, six quarterback hits, and a 62.2 PFF grade, the 43rd-best mark in the league. The Eagles made the playoffs once again, but the team went one-and-done after losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round.

Nakobe Dean originally entered the league as a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles, the Georgia product played sparingly as a rookie on a loaded defense. While he appeared in all 17 games, he didn’t make a single start and finished the season with just 13 tackles and one tackle-for-loss. Philadelphia made it to the Super Bowl during Dean’s rookie year, but the team ultimately fell to the Kansas City Chiefs.

After an injury-riddled 2023 in which he only played five games, Dean finally earned a full-time role in 2024. Starting and appearing in 15 games, the linebacker had the best season of his career, recording 128 tackles, nine tackles-for-loss, six quarterback hits, three sacks, one interception, and a 77.4 PFF grade, the 11th-best mark in the league. With his help, the Eagles made the Super Bowl and got revenge on the Kansas City Chiefs, dominating the reigning Super Bowl champions in a one-sided blowout.

Since signing his rookie contract, Nakobe Dean has appeared in 47 games while making 27 starts. While on the field, the Georgia product and former third-round pick has recorded 7.5 sacks, 226 tackles, 19 tackles-f0r-loss, 13 quarterback hits, and one interception.
