McKinley was frustrated that the Falcons didn't move him at the trade deadline and called out the team for not making a deal for what he says is the second year in a row. The team ended up fining him for his comments.
The 25-year-old was selected by Atlanta with the 26th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. In 49 games with the organization, McKinley recorded 53 solo tackles, 45 quarterback hits and 17.5 sacks.
The Falcons declined his fifth-year option in the offseason.
