The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could look to bolster the wide receiver position this offseason after losing Mike Evans to the San Francisco 49ers. Most of the team’s current receivers are either slot or Z receivers, leaving a void at the X receiver position. It would be ideal for the Buccaneers to add a receiver who is 6-feet-2 or taller, capable of excelling at contested catches outside Chris Godwin.
According to Evan Winter of A to Z Sports, the Buccaneers are hosting De’Zhaun Stribling on a 30 visit. NFL teams are allowed to invite up to 30 prospects to their facilities for interviews and medical evaluations. Winter lists the 6-foot-2, 207-pound Stribling as a possible Day 2 selection, with PFF projecting him as the 112th-overall prospect, roughly a mid-fourth-round pick.

De’Zhaun Stribling committed to the Washington State Cougars as a three-star recruit for the 2021 season. He enjoyed a solid two-year stint, hauling in 95 receptions for 1,073 yards and ten touchdowns across 25 games. Stribling entered the transfer portal after the 2022 season ended.
De’Zhaun Stribling transferred to the Oklahoma State Cowboys for the 2023 season. He missed the final ten games of his first season with Oklahoma State in 2023 due to broken wrist and set career highs in 2024, with 52 receptions for 882 yards and six touchdowns, totaling 66 receptions for 1,080 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 games with the Cowboys. Since he missed most of 2023 due to injury, Stribling medically redshirted and was granted an extra year of eligibility, only to hit the portal again.
De’Zhaun Stribling transferred to the Ole Miss Rebels for the 2025 season. He hauled in 55 receptions for 881 yards and six touchdowns across 15 games, catching 44% of his contested catch targets (8 of 18). Stribling capped off his five-year college career, totaling 216 receptions for 2,964 yards and 23 touchdowns across 56 games, with a 45% contested catch rate (32 of 70).
“Long-striding, vertical-access wideout with steady play and production. Stribling has good size and early acceleration to climb over the top of coverage but lacks short-area quickness to gain separation underneath. His downfield ball skills are above average but he struggles to consistently carve out catch space and fight through contested-catch contact for tight-coverage wins.
“He has legit speed after the catch once he finds open grass. He’s also one of the most competitive run blockers in the WR class. Stribling projects as an immediate WR4 who could eventually work his way into a starting role.”
Zierlein predicts that he will be a good backup with the potential to develop into a starter.
