Tennessee Titans Quarterback Will Levis will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder. He first sustained the injury early in the 2024 season. He aggravated it later in the year and has been unable to deal with the injury this offseason. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter first reported this news.

Levis was drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. He was tasked with being the team’s franchise quarterback. He has been unable to meet those lofty expectations. How will the Titans deal with this injury?

Tennessee Titans Season Outlook

The injury to Levis has cleared the path for No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward to be the team’s week 1 starter this season. While Ward was expected to get the week 1 nod, the team had not named a starter. They were waiting to see how training camp unfolded.

Tennessee is looking to rebound from a 2024 season where they had the worst record in the league. Ward will have some weapons to work with in his rookie campaign, like veteran Wide Receiver Tyler Lockett , Wide Receiver Calvin Ridley, and Running Back Tony Pollard.

Final Thoughts

Even though his time in Tennessee has been disappointing, this is bad news for the young quarterback. His third year will be lost. It is possible that the next time Levis suits up, it will not be as a member of the Tennessee Titans. He will use the coming months to rehab his shoulder injury to come back better in 2026.
