The Tennessee Titans needed to address their defensive line, with multiple players free agents, and need a partner in crime with Jeffery Simmons at the interior. Sebastian Joseph-Day, Arden Key, and Jihad Ward are set to test the open market. The Titans traded T’Vondre Sweat to the Jets for Jermaine Johnson II, who spent the first two and a half seasons with Robert Saleh.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Titans are set to sign John Franklin-Myers to a three-year, $63 million contract with $42 million guaranteed, outbidding the 49ers once the tampering window opened, reuniting with Robert Saleh. Franklin-Myers is a versatile defensive playmaker capable of playing both inside as a three-technique and outside as a five-technique/EDGE rusher. He predominantly played as an EDGE rusher from 2021 through 2023 under Saleh in New York.
