A former Tennessee Vols player/assistant coach will be back on the sidelines next fall.
And he won't be far away from Knoxville.
ESPN's Pete Thamel reported on Thursday afternoon that Vols legend Jay Graham is the new special teams/tight ends coach at East Tennessee State under new head coach Tre Lamb.

Graham was briefly an assistant at Alabama in 2021 after spending the 2020 season as Jeremy Pruitt's running backs coach at Tennessee. He was also previously on staff at UT in 2012 as the Vols' running backs coach under Derek Dooley.
The former Vol has also spent time as an assistant at Texas A&M, Florida State, and South Carolina.
Graham played at Tennessee from 1993 to 1996. He spent five seasons in the NFL before landing his first coaching job as a graduate assistant at UT in 2005.
