Terry Bradshaw Breaks Silence On Alleged Heroic Act

NFL legend Terry Bradshaw became the center of attention earlier this week when a plane he was on heading to Pittsburgh experienced a malfunction. But amid reports that he was a heroic figure in helping to keep people safe, he's setting the record straight.

CBS News reported that the plane's door was stuck and passengers were unable to exit the plane. The outlet interviewed some of the passengers, who claimed that Bradshaw was one of the people who unstuck the door and helped everyone get off the plane.

“I mean honestly I was just ready to get off the flight, but the guy next to me had the joke that they should have (Bradshaw) bust down the door, and I was like, ‘Well, maybe he could a few years ago.’ So I’m definitely eating my words,” passenger Selah Holland said.

But as cute as that story is, it appears to be untrue.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, Bradshaw wrote that he had nothing to do with getting the door unstuck. He said that the maintenance crew was able to open it within 15 minutes.

“Just to set the record straight... I did nothing to open the door on the plane! The maintenance crew had it open in 15 min," he wrote.

Though even with that revelation, fans were happy to praise him or ask questions about the ordeal:

"You are still the best!!!" one user replied.

"Don’t be so humble, Uncle T!" another joked.

"THIS POST is an example of why I respect you. You always keep it real!!!"

"Well Terry, at least you were there to assist as needed. Thank you for being so caring"

"Haha. Maybe just wishing it would open did it ‍♀️. Still a hero to many though."

"Well thank you for your honesty but it certainly was a great story about a great quarterback!"

There's only one Terry Bradshaw.
