Terry Bradshaw Is Convinced NFL Head Coach Is Getting Fired

There have been two NFL head coaching firings this year, with the Jets letting go of Robert Saleh and the Saints parting ways with Dennis Allen. Terry Bradshaw is convinced that a third is coming - though probably not until the regular season is over.

Bradshaw, 76, won four Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Hall of Fame quarterback has worked in broadcasting since his retirement, covering the league for Fox Sports. Bradshaw has been facing criticism for his inconsistent performance on the air this year, as he went viral for a controversial "Carolinas" accent after Hurricane Helene and took heat for calling for Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson to be "put down." This led to some NFL fans calling for Bradshaw to retire.

But Bradshaw has no plans to step aside anytime soon. While he can be a bit inconsistent on the air these days, he can still take aim at some of the league's most prominent voices from time to time.

Over the weekend, Terry Bradshaw sounded convinced that Mike McCarthy will ultimately get fired by Jerry Jones. McCarthy is on the final year of his contract in Dallas.

He has an idea for how to fix the Cowboys' problems, too.

"I think Mike McCarthy's probably going to get released at the end of this year. Listen, they had three years in a row where they had 12-5 seasons but they've won one playoff game.

"They have a quarterback that's out now. They spent $360 million on the quarterback, on the wide receiver, and on a defensive cornerback in Diggs. Now they've got to sign Parsons.

"My answer on the Dallas problems, they need more talent. So I would take Parsons, their great outside rusher. I don't know how you guys feel about this, but I wouldn't sign him, because he's on his fourth year, it'd be his fifth year. Trade him and get an extra number one (Draft pick)."

Jerry Jones has made it clear that he won't be making any in-season coaching changes, but he's made no promises about after the year.

“I have made a change early on a coach with Chan Gailey, and I’ve always regretted that, and I’ve made a change during the season [with Wade Phillips] and regretted that, and that’s the music I’m listening to,” Jones said postgame.

The Cowboys, 3-7 on the year, are set to take on the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
