Tetairoa McMillan Will Become the Next Drake London

Drake London has been in the NFL now for four seasons, while Tetairoa McMillan is heading into year two. That said, everything that I’ve seen from McMillan indicates that he’s going to be a superstar, which London already is.

Using this PFF article from Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick as a reference, London is ranked 10th right now. As for McMillan, he’s just outside the top 20, at 23.

Given the prospect profile for McMillan, year one production, and offseason buzz, he should be a top-10 wide receiver or at least on the edge.

Tetairoa McMillan Similarities to Drake London

When I think of NFL players that not only have a similar playstyle but also a similar career arc to McMillan, London is what comes to mind.

Starting with the profile, they have almost an identical frame, with London at 6’4”, 213 lbs and McMillan 6’5”, 212 lbs. Both were elite prospects as well, with London and McMillan going 8th overall.

As for the production, statistically speaking, McMillan is actually on a better track than London. In year one, McMillan had 70 catches for 1,014 yards and seven touchdowns.

London had a good rookie year as well, but he had just 866 yards and four touchdowns on 72 catches. It would actually take until year three for London to cross over 1,000 yards, which he did with 1,271.

You can argue the quarterback play hasn’t been good for London, which is true, but Bryce Young isn’t great either.

The training camp hype around McMillan has been positive, which is worth noting, although it doesn’t mean everything.

Recently in training camp, we saw a big play from McMillan from the slot.

The reason that’s important is that back on July 22nd, there was a post that came out from Underdog NFL on X citing Cameron Wolfe about the slot usage of McMillan.

This makes a ton of sense because although McMillan played 80.1% of his snaps on the outside last year per PFF, he’s an incredible mover for his size, creating mismatches.

Going back to London, he had his best season in 2024 when he played 39% of his snaps in the slot.

I’m a huge fan of Tetairoa McMillan heading into 2026, and there’s a ton of overlap with Drake London, who has already played at a superstar level in the NFL.
