The Houston Texans suffered a huge blow in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos, losing wide receiver, and rookie sensation, Tank Dell for the season with a broken fibula.
His quarterback, C.J. Stroud, took the opportunity to show appreciation to his fellow rookie, during warmups ahead of the Texans' Week 14 game against the Jets.
Stroud was sporting a Tank Dell shirt, with the receiver's name at the top and images of Dell covering the front.

Stroud and Dell have already shown a special connection early on in their young careers. It was Stroud who requested that the Texans draft Dell out of Houston, and that selection has paid off. The two rookies connected 47 times for 709 yards and seven touchdowns ahead of the injury, helping Houston take the league by storm and become the surprise team of the NFL season.
The Texans are in the midst of a playoff race, sitting at 7-5 and one game out of the AFC Wildcard, as well as the AFC South lead.
