ESPN's "College GameDay" is coming to Lubbock, Texas, for the Big 12 showdown between the No. 7 BYU Cougars and No. 8 Texas Tech Red Raiders.
BYU is undefeated this year while Texas Tech has just one loss, which came against the Arizona State Sun Devils, 26-22, on the road on Oct. 18.
Texas Tech has back-to-back blowout wins over the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Kansas State Wildcats, and this game against BYU is the biggest one of the season.
With "College GameDay" coming to town, it should be a huge scene in Lubbock with the crew including Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban and others.
Ahead of the weekend, Kansas City Chiefs star and former Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named as the celebrity guest picker for the show.
“Come on now, you know @PatrickMahomes had to come back to Lubbock to be this weekend’s guest picker," the "College GameDay" account wrote.
Mahomes spent three seasons at Texas Tech before the Chiefs selected him at No. 10 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.
After the news was released, Texas Tech reacted with a post on X.
"Your @CollegeGameDay guest picker," the school wrote.

The Chiefs also commented on the Instagram post with a few clock emojis.
Kansas City has a bye in Week 10, so it's the perfect time for Mahomes to make an appearance at his former school.
Mahomes was the QB for Texas Tech from 2014 to 2016, throwing for over 11,000 yards and 93 touchdowns with just 29 interceptions. He also rushed for 820 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Kickoff will be on Saturday at noon ET at Jones AT&T Stadium with the game being broadcast on ABC.
