Happy 46th birthday to three-time Pro Bowler, 2003 Offensive Rookie of the Year, 2015 Walter Payton Man of the Year and Super Bowl XLVII champion, Anquan Boldin!
Boldin was a second-round selection in the 2003 NFL Draft out of Florida State by the Arizona Cardinals. He made an instant impact, catching 101 passes for 1,377 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie en route to Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
Boldin spent the first seven years of his career in the desert, posting five 1,000-yard seasons playing alongside Larry Fitzgerald, helping the Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII, where the Cardinals lost to the Steelers.
The Cardinals traded Boldin to the Ravens after the 2009 season, where he never reached the 1,000-yard milestone in three seasons but was a key contributor in their Super Bowl victory in the “Harbowl,” in 2012-13, catching six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. He joined the Niners for his age 33 season and actually returned to the 1,000-yard club in 2013 and 2014, and he caught eight touchdowns in the final year of his career with the Detroit Lions (2016).
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Boldin owns one of the 53 100-receiving-yard performances in Super Bowl history. With that being said, how many of the NFL receivers to reach the 100-yard mark in a Super Bowl can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
