Happy 49th birthday to six-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, 1998 Offensive Rookie of the Year and Class of 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Randy Moss!
Moss was selected 21st-overall out of Marshall in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, and he rewarded them by immediately leading the NFL with 17 touchdowns receptions as a rookie. It would be one of five seasons he’d pace the league in touchdown catches and one of nine campaigns he reached the end zone at least 10 times.
After spending his first seven seasons in Minnesota, he spent two seasons with the Raiders before joining up with Tom Brady and the Patriots ahead of the 2007 season. The connection resulted in Moss setting an NFL record with 23 touchdown catches to go with 1,493 yards on just 98 receptions.
Moss retired after the 2012 season with 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns on 982-career receptions.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the NFL players with at least 15 touchdown catches in a single season can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
