The '2013 Week 1 starting NFL QBs' quiz

Happy 36th birthday to two-time Pro Bowler, 2022 AP Comeback Player of the Year and 13-year NFL veteran quarterback, Geno Smith!

Smith has had one of the more interesting career arcs of any QB of his generation. After a strong career at West Virginia, the Jets selected Smith in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. 

After going 8-8 with 3,046 yards and 12 touchdowns to 21 interceptions in his rookie year, the Jets went 3-10 in their second season with him at the helm before he was benched for Michael Vick. He was at the center of bad team news heading into 2015, when a teammate broke his jaw with a punch in the locker room. Ryan Fitzpatrick took the starting job from Smith in his absence, and Smith would appear just three more times between 2015 and 2016. 

After leaving the Jets for the Giants in 2017, Smith seemed destined to be a career backup until he won the starting job with Seattle in 2022. He was a Pro Bowler in 2022 and 2023 and won a career-high 10 games in 2024 before joining the Raiders for a disastrous 2025 campaign. 

Now, Smith is back where it all began, starting under center for the New York Jets one decade after the infamous locker room incident. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Smith made his first NFL start in Week 1 of the 2013 campaign, an 18-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that being said, can you name every starting QB from Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season?
