The '2025 backup NFL quarterbacks' quiz

Jacoby Brissett led the Arizona Cardinal to a 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys on "Monday Night Football," throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns while adding a rushing score to end Arizona’s five-game losing streak. 

But despite the performance – which followed up another two solid showings in support of Kyler Murray – head coach Jonathan Gannon put to rest any brewing quarterback controversy in the desert. 

“Nothing has changed on that,” Gannon said when asked if he still expected Murray to start when healthy. 

Despite the job still belonging to the former first-overall pick in the NFL Draft, Cardinals veteran Calais Campbell sang high praises about Brissett filling in.  

“You can’t say enough good things about what Jacoby’s doing right now,” the six-time Pro Bowler said.  “He’s just doing what’s required. You lose your starting quarterback in the NFL and it’s hard to win ballgames. But for Jacoby to step in there and not miss a beat has been great for us. He’s been incredible.”
