Facing an elite defense in less than ideal weather in Foxborough, Drake Maye completed 16-of-27 passes for just 179 yards to go with three touchdowns and an interception. He also fumbled four times, losing two of them, but his own defense picked the Patriots up to the tune of four interceptions and forcing a fumble of their own.
The anticipation of what should have been a matchup between two of the best young QB’s in the AFC Championship game has been diminished somewhat by the news about Bo Nix’s broken ankle that will keep him out of the rest of the postseason.
“Got to train in the predraft with Bo. Really enjoy being around Bo and his family,” Maye said after hearing the news.
“It’s heartbreaking for what a player he is, the guy he his. I’m praying for Bo. I know he’ll bounce back.”
Even without Nix, Maye’s job hasn’t gotten any easier, as he’s still taking on a defense that allowed the seventh-fewest passing yards and third-fewest points-per-game in the regular season.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Regardless of matchup this season, Maye has been productive almost every week, throwing at least one touchdown in 15 of 17 regular season games. With that being said, can you name the quarterbacks to lead the NFL in touchdown passes in 2025-26?
Good luck!
