Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat was a surprise addition to the Physically Unable to Perform list at the start of training camp with a left knee issue, but Cardinals fans can take a sigh of relief.

20 days before Week 1, the eight-year veteran has been activated off the PUP list and has returned to practice.

There were very few bright spots for the Arizona Cardinals in their 3-14 campaign in 2025, but edge rusher Josh Sweat was certainly one of them. He racked up a career-high 10 sacks, forced four fumbles and picked off two passes in his first season away from Philadelphia. While there isn’t much optimism in Arizona this season with a bridge quarterback and a stack division, Sweat could once again be one of the few reasons for Cards fans to tune in this season if he doesn’t get traded.
