The '40-sacks-taken season leaders' quiz

After moving on from former first-overall NFL Draft pick Kyler Murray this offseason, the Arizona Cardinals decided to roll with veteran Jacoby Brissett as their QB1 to start the 2026 season.

But despite this, they weren’t totally sure he’d even report to mandatory minicamp as the 33 year old looks for a restructured contract. After missing all of the voluntary team activities so far this offseason, Brissett will report to minicamp and avoid an almost $108,000 fine. Brissett was originally signed to backup Murray, but he ended up starting 12 games in 2025, throwing for 3,366 yards and 23 touchdowns to eight interceptions but winning just one game.

If the contract dispute between Brissett and Arizona drags out and he misses time, the Cardinals will have a rather uninspiring choice between Gardner Minshew II, rookie Carson Beck or Kedon Slovis as signal caller. Whoever ends up with the starting gig will be playing in an intimidating NFC West that boasts the reigning Super Bowl champions and a stacked Rams squad that just added Myles Garrett.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Brissett knows what it's like to be constantly under duress, leading the NFL in sacks taken in 2017 with 52 and taking 43 in his 14 total appearances for the Cardinals last year. With that being said, can you name the active NFL quarterbacks to take at least 40 sacks in a season multiple times in their career since they were officially tracked as a stat in 1982?

Good luck!
