For four quarters in the New York Giants' unexpectedly-epic Week 2 clash with the Dallas Cowboys, Russell Wilson looked like himself in his prime. He and wide receivers Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson tortured the Dallas secondary, combining for 309 of Wilson’s 450 passing yards.
But once overtime came, Wilson looked more like he did in his first season as a Bronco.
Both offenses sputtered in the extra frame after combining for 41 points in the fourth quarter, but it looked like the Giants would have the final opportunity to win the game in OT after forcing a second Dallas punt. Then Wilson uncorked a final deep ball – a choice that resulted in two touchdowns in the final three minutes of regulation. This time, the only one home was Cowboys defensive back Donovan Wilson, who snagged the interception to set up a walk-off field goal for Brandon Aubrey.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Despite the loss, Wilson’s 450 passing yards were the second most of his 14-year career. With that being said, can you name the 23 quarterbacks in NFL history to throw for at least 450 yards and three touchdowns but still lose?
Good luck!
