The Seattle Seahawks title defense will not be easy as they’ll have to navigate a schedule featuring a Super Bowl LX rematch, clashes with teams like the Bears, Broncos and Eagles and perhaps the league’s toughest division featuring many fans pick to lift the Lombardi this season – the Los Angeles Rams.
But quarterback Sam Darnold is no stranger to being overlooked.
When he signed as a free agent with Seattle last season, there were plenty of people who thought he was more likely to look like the Jets version of himself rather than the Vikings version.
He responded with his second-consecutive 14-win season, produced the league’s leading receiver in Jaxon Smith-Njigba and posted a 5:0 TD/INT ratio in the playoffs en route to his first Super Bowl title.
While Darnold’s personal numbers weren’t quite as gaudy in his first year with Seattle as they were when he was the Minnesota QB1 and threw for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns, he still eclipsed 4,000 yards for the second time and tossed another 25 TDs.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Darnold is one of 44 quarterbacks in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns in the same season. How many of those QBs can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
