The 'All-time rushing-TD leaders' quiz

Happy 47th birthday to five-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro, 2006 Offensive Player of the Year and MVP and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017, LaDainian Tomlinson!

Selected with the fifth-overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft out of TCU, Tomlinson went on to become the best running back in Chargers history. Playing nine seasons in San Diego, Tomlinson’s 12,490 yards and 138 touchdowns are easily the most in a career by a Chargers RB, and he owns seven of the top-10 rushing seasons in the franchise’s 67-year history.

Tomlinson led the league in rushing yards twice and touchdowns three times – including with a still-standing NFL record of 28 in 2006.

After nine seasons with the Chargers, Tomlinson played the final two years of his career with the New York Jets. At 31 he still started 13 games for the Jets in 2010 and actually exceeded his rushing yards from his final season in San Diego from 730 to 914. But he got just 75 carries in 14 games in 2011, hanging up his cleats after the season.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Tomlinson’s 145 rushing touchdowns are second-most all-time, trailing only the legendary Emmit Smith’s 164. With that being said, can you name the players to rush for the most touchdowns in NFL history?

Good luck!
