Atlanta rap legend T.I. recently shared a video on social media that made him the envy of Atlanta Falcons fans everywhere. In the clip, the hometown rapper unboxed a brand new pair of Nike Air DT Max '96 sneakers in an Atlanta Falcons colorway, gifted to him by Nike and the Falcons themselves.

Deion “PrimeTime” Sanders, an Atlanta Falcons and Braves legend, reveals his signature trainer, the Nike Air Diamond Turf, in 1993 while still a member of the Falcons. The Nike Air DT Max '96 is the third installment of the Diamond Turf trainer series, released just as Sanders became a member of the Dallas Cowboys in 1996. For the first time, this release pays homage to Sanders’ first NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons.

The Nike Air DT Max '96 ‘Falcons’ gifted to celebrity fan T.I. came in a hard plastic case instead of a traditional shoe box. The case features an outline of Sanders’ Hall of Fame bust, his stylized Prime logo and a subtle white Nike swoosh and an inspirational quote stamped inside. T.I. gave his seal of approval with an excited but laid back, “Alright, den Prime!” while commenting on how well the trainer pairs with jogging suits.
This retro 90s trainer was granted a black nubuck base with gray leather and red accents, but the standout feature of this version is the white and red "21" on the heel–a subtle tribute to Sanders’ PrimeTime legacy in Atlanta.
