The Buccaneers Are Already Dealing With A List Of Injuries
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled the right stops to secure a 19-3 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

That victory gave quarterback Tom Brady a 7-0 career record against Dallas.

He started off his 23rd NFL season with 18 completions for 212 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

Meanwhile, Leonard Fournette had 127 rushing yards while Mike Evans and Julio Jones combined for 140 receiving yards.

They also got sacks from Devin White, Vita Vea, and Anthony Nelson, while Antoine Winfield Jr. had their lone interception.

The Buccaneers are targeting a 2-0 record when they face the New Orleans Saints next week.

But aside from creating a solid game plan, knowing who will be available is their biggest concern.

ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted the players with injury concerns for Week 2.

Fournette had limited participation in Wednesday’s practice due to a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Evans was also limited in practice due to concerns with his calf.

Jones did not participate due to a knee issue, while Russell Gage was sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Even Chris Godwin did not practice Wednesday due to hamstring issues.

In short, Tampa Bay’s top receivers are not feeling 100 percent days before their game against New Orleans.

Other players dealing with injuries are Zyon McCollum, Breshad Perriman, Donovan Smith, and Tristan Wirfs.

Buccaneers Need A Full Team Against Their Nemesis

The Saints have had the Buccaneers’ number for the past two seasons.

While Tampa Bay won against New Orleans in their 2020 Divisional Round matchup, the Saints have won their last four regular-season meetings.

The last one was the most disappointing for the Buccaneers because they failed to score any points.

It would be difficult to see Tampa Bay compete against a loaded Saints squad if their key players will be sitting out.
