The Chargers Are Looking To Correct A Historically Bad Mark
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers are heading into Week 13 with some very concerning numbers against them.

These numbers are seeing them make NFL history, in a bad way.

However, the Chargers are looking to correct this history making mark.

So what mark are they getting and how can they correct it?

Chargers Are Allowing A Record Number Of Yards Per Rush

Since the beginning of the Super Bowl era, no other NFL team has been worse than the Chargers with rushing yards allowed per attempt.

Their current 5.44 yards per attempt is nearly one-tenth of a yard higher than the previous record.

However, there’s time to fix these issues, as the Chargers have six games remaining in the NFL regular season.

But their remaining games have them facing three teams with elite running backs.

So how can they even stop the running game when they face some tougher run-heavy teams?

The Return Of Joey Bosa Is The Chargers’ Only Hope To Improve Their Run Defense

It’s been a long time since Joey Bosa suffered his groin injury during Week 3 of the season.

However, there’s a slight chance he can return to action soon.

When Bosa was around, offenses had to avoid him and Khalil Mack.

But with him gone, offenses only need to focus on Mack as the only threat to the running game.

With the level of player Bosa is in the NFL, his presence on the field is game changing.

If the Chargers can get him back this season, he can help right the defensive woes of the defense.
