But going into Week 18, Los Angeles had won four games in a row, clinched a playoff spot and was getting healthier.

With the Baltimore Ravens losing to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, the Chargers’ contest versus the Denver Broncos suddenly didn’t seem that important, and they ended up losing by three points to Russell Wilson and company.

But still, they have earned the fifth seed in the AFC, plus a wild-card playoff matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

That represents the ideal matchup for the Bolts, despite how well Jacksonville has been playing lately.

Jacksonville has ended the season with five wins in a row, as second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence is starting to tap into his potential.

In addition, top wide receiver Christian Kirk and running back Travis Etienne Jr. have exceeded 1,000 yards in receiving and rushing, respectively.

However, this is the team’s first playoff appearance in five years, and as a group, the roster is rather young and inexperienced.
