The Cleveland Browns Have a New Superstar Duo…

The Browns are sitting at 1-1, but there’s one serious bright spot regardless of the record: their rookie WR duo of Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion. Boston has stepped up in the major stats, leading all rookies in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, yards after catch, and longest reception through two weeks — including a 5-catch, 95-yard, 1-touchdown outing in Cleveland’s Week 2 win over Tampa Bay. Concepcion has shown he’s an explosive receiver who can be an upper-echelon after-the-catch weapon in the NFL, leading the league in rookie receptions through two weeks with 10 catches on 11 targets for 71 yards.

This rebuild is going to take time, whether it’s a new quarterback to replace Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders, or maybe even a new head coach to replace Todd Monken in the future. But this receiving duo will be elite for the next three-plus seasons at minimum. These two truly are thunder and lightning, and both have the makings of high-quality receivers. Adding in Harold Fannin Jr. and Quinshon Judkins, this weapons room is extremely young but extremely talented.

This will be a long season, but Boston’s ability to look like a young Mike Evans should give Browns fans real hope and excitement.
