The Cowboys defense officially entered the history books Sunday

Stop me if you have heard this before, the Dallas Cowboys defense has entered the record books for yet the wrong reason.

Predictably, the depleted Cowboys gave up 11 plays of at least 10 yards as the Broncos finished with 427 total yards of offense.

Dallas also failed to get consistent pressure, finishing without a sack and just one quarterback hit on Denver quarterback Bo Nix.

They have given up at least 30 points in every single game this season, and with that have made their way into the record books yet again for all the wrong reasons.

By The Numbers

The 2025 Dallas Cowboys defense yesterday became one of only 15 teams to allow 250 points and 3,200 yards against them through the first 8 games of their seasons.

Just read that again, do you know how hard it is to give up 250 points and 3,200 yards in 8 games? That means you have allowed 30 points plus every single game. What is even worse is the fact that teams would have to average 400 yards a game to give up 3,200 yards in 8 games.

So, it is time to be real. The offense has to be perfect in order for this football team to win games, and if they are not like yesterday, they will only start to fade.

They had it within 14 points into the third, but a punt at the 50, trusting the defense was the wrong move.

The offense has to go into games knowing if they do not score 35 to 40, they have no chance, and trading for one single player is not going to help how bad they are.

Matt Eberflus continues to try and run all this zone stuff and rush only four and never blitz. It makes no sense.

This defense is on pace to be the worst in NFL history, and it is crazy to even write that.

I don’t know about you, but at this point, every single time they take the field, I expect the other team to score a touchdown, not even settle for a field goal.

I would be thrilled with a bend, but don’t break the defense right now. I see other fan bases complaining about their defense giving up 21 to 24 points, and I am like, the Cowboys give that up in less than a half.

Let’s see how this week goes with the trade deadline, but after this week, I am totally out on this team only because it does not matter the type of offense you have, this defense couldn’t stop me if I lineup at wide out.
