The Dallas Cowboys have been quite busy ahead of Monday night's kickoff. According to reports, the Cowboys made several roster moves prior to tonight's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Dallas is looking to inch closer to .500 going into the bye after starting the year 3-4-1 over its first eight games.

The Cowboys are coming off of an ugly 44-24 loss to the Broncos last week that saw Dak Prescott held to just 188 yards and two interceptions as Denver piled on 17 unanswered points in the final quarter.

But as ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, some changes have taken place before the 'Boys host the Cards at AT&T Stadium in primetime.

Cowboys make numerous roster moves prior to 'MNF'

Per the top NFL insider, the Cowboys announced several changes to their 53-man roster as they eye a potential fourth win:

  • Placed LB Jack Sanborn on injured reserve.
  • Activated C Cooper Beebe from injured reserve-Designated for Return.
  • Signed RB Malik Davis to the active roster from the practice squad.
  • Elevated DB Zion Childress and TE Princeton Fant from the practice squad.

Fans react to changes online

"Solid roster management," a user said. "Losing Sanborn hurts the depth chart, but getting Beebe back stabilizes the O-line. Malik Davis adds rotation value, and the elevations show Dallas gearing for versatility across special teams and red-zone looks. Smart, balanced adjustments."

"Sooo... they're still garbage?" another asked.

"relegation to the Big12 is not off the table," a fan commented.

"Tough news on Jack Sanborn, but great to see Cooper Beebe activated and some good depth additions! Hope these moves pay off. Go Cowboys!" another cheered.

"Not the alert I wanted when I saw 'Cowboys’ Moves' flash across my screen," another person admitted.

The Cowboys and Cardinals kickoff at 8:15 PM ET on ABC and ESPN with Joe Buck and Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman on the call. Dallas is a 3.5-point favorite according to ESPN BET Sportsbook.
