The Atlanta Falcons are officially headed to Germany to play the first ever regular season game in Berlin against the Indianapolis Colts.

Nothing quite like breakfast and football. For those who will not be making the trek to Berlin, the November 9th contest will kickoff at 9:30 AM Eastern Time. For any Falcons fans reading this on the West Coast, I’m sorry.
“We are definitely excited and proud to take part in the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Berlin, and look forward to seeing Atlanta Falcons fans from Germany, and across the globe, in November,” Atlanta Falcons president Greg Beadles said. “Long before taking part in the NFL’s Global Markets Program, we saw and felt the passion for the Falcons from our dedicated German fans, including a number who have made trips to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and to our games across the U.S. and our previous international games. We look forward to experiencing the German culture and the fandom that has made Germany an important part of the NFL’s growth and future.”
This will be the fourth time the Falcons have played a regular season international game, with the other three taking place in London. The last time was in 2023, when Desmond Ridder threw a couple of interceptions, including a pick-six, in a blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The German fans should be in for a better showing this time around, at least from the Falcons perspective, with Michael Penix Jr. under center.
However, the best part about this is that the Falcons are not the home team. They’ll still have eight games at home in 2025, and one of their road games will really be a neutral-site contest across the pond against a very beatable opponent.
