There has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of former first-round pick Kyle Pitts and the Atlanta Falcons
He's been in trade rumors all offseason long, but he still starts training camp as a member of the Falcons. Only time will tell if he can get back on track and be a long-term member of the Falcons, but it looks like the team has one more trick up their sleeve as they attempt to salvage his time with the team.
Kyle Pitts has mostly been working with the Falcons WRs so far in practice, not with the TEs.

A team coming forward to trade for Pitts at this point seems unlikely, at least for now. Therefore, finding ways for him to utilize his next level athleticism to impact their offense will be very important. To begin camp, the Falcons are having Pitts work with the WRs as well as the TE. Finding more ways for him to be on the field and potentially find mismatches on the field seems like a smart path forward for the Falcons.
The top dog in the WR room is for sure Drake London, with Darnell Mooney the clear second option. After that, there is for sure an opening for Pitts to find a role at WR. An interesting option, in my opinion, would be for Pitts to line up in the slot at times, which should allow him to draw matchups with smaller defensive backs and LBs at times.
Keeping this role minimal is probably in their best interest. If Pitts moved to WR full-time, they would have a big weakness at TE, with their other options at the position leaving a lot to be desired. If the move works out, it could also lead Pitts to demand WR money, opposed to TE, which would cost the Falcons more in the long run if he does become a part of their long-term future. It would also make him even more complicated to trade, with other teams also having to worry about him wanting to be paid like a WR.
