Over the past week, we've seen multiple tributes in Indianapolis for the late owner of the Indianapolis Colts, Jim Irsay, who passed away on May 21.
And now the Colts themselves have posted a tribute video for Mr.Irsay, along with announcing an extra special way they plan to honor his life this upcoming season.

The Colts announced that they will wear a patch on their jerseys this season to honor Jim Irsay. The patch can be seen in the X post above. It is a black patch that includes a JI, of course, for "Jim Irsay" with his personal signature over top. The signature includes the smile that Irsay was known to include on his signature over the years.
The patch also has seven visible dots in a circle. Those dots represent the seven grommets that appear in the Colts' primary horseshoe logo. The team also changed their profile picture on all their social media to this patch and shared that it will be used and displayed throughout the next season. The 2025 season will truly be played in honor of Jim Irsay, and with his three daughters taking over the reins, his memory will live on in this city well beyond however long this patch is seen on Colts jerseys.
