The Jaguars Are Warning Rest Of NFL About Trevor Lawrence

Jacksvonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence didn't have the season that he wanted in 2024.

He only played in 10 games before he was lost for the season with a shoulder injury, finishing with 2,045 yards through the air, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

The Jaguars gave him a five-year $275 million contract prior to the 2024 season and are committed to making it work with him. They hired Liam Coen to be their next head coach and brought in James Gladstone to be the new general manager.

Gladstone wants everyone to know that nobody has seen the best of Lawrence in the NFL yet.

“I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Trevor and I'm really excited for him to get a chance to work with him and support him, and really bring the tools that he has in his arsenal to life," Gladstone said at the NFL Combine. "I think it starts by the protection, right? Making sure that he feels like he's got as much time to work with as possible and also that he is comfortable with the pass catchers."

Lawrence is in his fourth NFL season but has only been to the playoffs once. He led the Jaguars to the playoffs in the 2023 season, finishing with 4,113 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

He's played at a high level in the NFL before but it's now about getting him to stay at that level on a more consistent basis. Coen did great work with Baker Mayfield in Tampa Bay during the 2024 season and Jacksonville is hoping for the same with Lawrence in 2025.

The Jaguars finished the 2024 season with a 4-13 record and will have the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
