The Jets met with a versatile defensive lineman

Laulu started his college career at Hawaii in 2019 and spent his first three seasons with the university. He recorded 70 total tackles and eight sacks over those three seasons. In 2022, he transferred to Oklahoma, where he would spend his final two college seasons. He recorded 31 tackles and two and a half sacks for the Sooners and was viewed as one of their defensive leaders.

His calling card for NFL teams will likely be his versatility. With experience playing off the edge and the interior, he will most likely be viewed as an interior defensive lineman on most teams' boards, with the flexibility to be a three-tech and a five-tech. His build at 6'5" and 292 lbs, with an impressive 33.5" arm length, will catch the eye of multiple teams.

And the icing on top will be his great athletic testing. Laulu ran a 4.96 40-yard dash, as well recording a 36" vertical and a 9'10" broad jump. Laulu is projected to be a late-day-three selection or possibly a priority undrafted free agent. This level of athletic testing could very well lead to a team using a late draft pick on him just to beat the competition on the undrafted free agency market.
