The Buffalo Bills came into their contest with the Carolina Panthers on a two-game losing streak, while the Panthers entered the game on the back of three-straight wins.
But James Cook and company flexed their muscles in Charlotte, beating Carolina 40-9 behind 216 rushing yards and two touchdowns from their star running back. In the effort, Cook became just the fourth player in NFL history to eclipse 215 yards and two scores in the same game, joining Derrick Henry, Bo Jackson and Bobby Mitchell.
Quarterback Josh Allen said he knows how important it is to keep Cook involved in their games.
“If you look at the efficiency he’s had, he’s been outstanding,” Bills quarterback and reigning-MVP Josh Allen said of Cook, who leads the NFL with 6.0 yards-per-carry.
“I think the more times we get the ball in his hands, the better we’re going to be.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz. The 216 yards against Carolina were the most in Cook’s career so far, and he became the first Bill since Fred Jackson in 2010 to reach the 200-yard milestone. With that being said, can you name the most recent player for each NFL team to rush for 200 yards in one game?
Good luck!
