Happy 47th birthday to 14-year NFL veteran wide receiver and 2005 Pro Bowler, Santana Moss!
Moss was selected with the 16th-overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2001 NFL Draft out of Miami. He was a role player his first two seasons with the Jets, catching 32 passes for 473 yards with four touchdowns between 2001 and 2002. He established himself as a true NFL wide receiver in 2003, starting 12 of the 16 games and reaching the 1,000-yard milestone for the first time in his career. He also caught a career-high 10 touchdowns that year.
His numbers dipped a bit in 2004, and he was traded to Washington after the season. He would spend the rest of his career with Washington, making his only Pro Bowl in 2005 with 1,483 yards and nine TDs. He would spend a decade in the nation’s capital, catching 581 passes for 7,867 yards and 47 touchdowns, all marks that are at least top-7 in franchise history.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Moss is one of 54 players in NFL history to record 100 yards and a touchdown catch in at least 20 games. How many of those players can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
