For just the fourth time since 1969, there will be a new face on the sidelines for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After 19 years with Mike Tomlin at the helm and never a losing record (but also no postseason win since 2016-17), the Steelers have hired Mike McCarthy to be their next head coach.
McCarthy brings 18 years of NFL head coaching experience to the Steelers and one Super Bowl title – won with the Packers over Tomlin and the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. Most recently, McCarthy spent five years with the Dallas Cowboys, where he went 49-35 and made the playoffs three times. While McCarthy has been able to win a playoff game in the the time Tomlin has gone winless, he never made it past the NFC Divisional Round with Dallas despite boasting three-consecutive 12-win teams.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. McCarthy is 20th on the NFL’s all-time game’s coached leaderboard, coaching 310 games between the regular season and playoffs. With that being said, how many NFL head coaches with 300-combined games coached can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
