There are still six games remaining in the Seattle Seahawks regular season, but they already have a new single-season receiving leader.
Needing 158 receiving-yards to pass D.K. Metcalf’s previous record of 1,303, Jaxon Smith-Njigba racked up 167 to break the record in just 11 games. With 1,313 receiving-yards after Week 12, JSN is 652 yards off of Calvin Johnson’s single-season record of 1,964 – which was done in just 16 games in the 2012-13 season.
He also added two touchdowns catches, and Seattle proved to need every bit of production from their star WR to stave off the Tennessee Titans.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Smith-Njgba has been the engine the 8-3 Seahawks, and will need to continue to produce with Seattle locked in a tight battle with Los Angeles for the NFC West. With that being said, how many of the players with the most receiving yards in one season for each NFL team can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
