Odell Beckham Jr. turns 34 years old in November and hasn’t played in an NFL game since December 8, 2024.
But with New York Giants training camp well underway, ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan said the veteran has a legitimate chance to make John Harbaugh’s final roster.
“He’s proving that when healthy, he can still play,” Raanan said.
“He’s only got better as training camp’s gone on, especially when getting first-team reps.”
Raanan added he’s still likely to be in a tight battle with free agent acquisition Braxton Berrios and Dalen Cambre, who both also bring special teams value. OBJ took the NFL by storm as a rookie in his first stint with the New York Giants – posting 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns, one of which is one of the most famous catches of the generation.
While he was a contributor to the Los Angeles Rams victory in Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals, catching two passes for 52 yards and a touchdown, injuries and age have turned him into a journeyman wide receiver. He played just nine games for the Dolphins in 2024, and hasn’t caught a touchdown since Week 14 of 2023 when he played for the Ravens.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. OBJ’s 13 touchdown catches in his rookie campaign are the most in a single season in New York Giants history. With that being said, can you name the players to catch the most touchdowns in one season for each NFL franchise since the AFL/NFL merger?
Good luck!
